I deleted some of the files on my Sansa MP3 but there still on my MP3. When I hook it up to my computer it says that they're gone but I can still play them and they take up space. Try formatting your mp3 player. connect your mp3 player to your computer, go to my computer right click on your portable device(mp3 player) and select format. This erases all data in your mp3 player

Yeah... Well, I'm getting an mp3 player tomorrow, and I've narrowed it down to the ZEN:M by Creative Labs and the iPod 5.5, which as we all know is designed by Apple Computers. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of iPods, and the reviews for the ZEN have been much better than those for the iPod. From looking at the ZEN, the thickness shouldn't be a problem, however I would like to hear from owners of the ZEN whether or not the thickness (double the size of the iPod) really gets in the way.

Answers with supporting evidence would be greatly appreciated, and if you point out any problems with either gadget, could you please make sure it isn't one of those things that happens in one in a thousand players? I've been looking at mp3 players for three months, I've shed enough fear over that kind of question for a lifetime. :P

How do you burn an MP3 cd that will play on a Blaupunkt cd player??

My wife got a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player in her 2004 Ford Focus - it plays regular CD's and even burned CD's (as long as I keep the burn speed down), but whenever I try to burn a CD of MP3's it won't play. I already know how to burn CD's, so don't waste time telling me how to go about that - but if you have a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player and have been able to get an MP3 CD to work let me know how you did it.

had the same problem. first off they make 2 types of MP3 players one will play the files BUT NOT off a disc only as a plug-in (ie: ipod etc.) are you using music discs? i coul dnot get them to play till i bought sony or maxell audio cd-r NOT rw. good luck
yeah.. sounds like you may have the one that plays off an aux input and not off the disc. perhaps the "mp3" button actually tells the radio to switch to an aux input devide that plugged in (like an external mp3 player).

Renaming mp3 tracks?

my wonderful creative zen vision is great, but does not recognise some track details and so puts them in "unknown" areas, which makes them a pain to find again. (I think this happens with all mp3 players). Is it possible to re-name tracks so that mp3 players recognise the artist, album name and track name? I guess it must be something to do with the symbols in between the words: eg. _.Michael Jackson_Thriller_._Beat_it ....does anyone know?

Not sure how the Creative software works, but most MP3 players read the ID3 tag info that's usually included in MP3 files. You can take a look at http://www.id3-tagit.de/english/index.ht... for renaming the tag info contained in MP3s. This software has been a great tool for me because it includes options not even iTunes is capable of.

I have some mp3 that I recorded directly from my piano (using a normal microphone). When I listen those mp3, I can hear some background noises (squeaking chair, door opening, etc).

Is the file locked ? That may be the reason you cannot delete it. Also are you using any external memory e.g. memory card, in which case you may have deleted it from the main memory but not the card. The computer may not be able to read files stored on the card.

I think you're going to have to do each one, but you can make it faster by highlighting and pressing delete ^_^

Are you using Itunes? Because if you double click a song it usually fixes itself, by removing the .mp3 or putting the artist name in the artist name section. This didn't work for my friend though, so maybe it's just my computer... I don't know...

I just got a new Motorola V360 yesterday, it has a built in mp3 player, but everytime I hook the usb cable up to the computer and to the phone, the message on the phone says "Some files and applications are inaccessible" Why is it doing that and how can I get mp3's from my computer to my phone or my phones memory card? I'm also running windows 98, could that be a problem?

My computer (Windows XP) is suddenly not recognising my mp3 player - Sandisk Sansa M240. It has recognised the device many times before %26amp; I have downloaded songs easily.

I have 2 such mp3 players - when I plug 1 of them into my computer it opens up, but does not show my songs as files, as it normally does.

When I plug either of them in, the mouse arrow changes to the 'egg-cup' for a few seconds, and makes a noise indicating that I have plugged something into the USB port, but doesn't do anything else...%26amp; the mp3 player isnt showing in Windows Explorer either. The mp3 player says 'USB connected'.

The mp3 player isnt in 'hold' mode. The mp3 came with a CD driver but I didn't need it to download music to the same device before - so i don't think thats the problem.

How do I get my computer to recognise the mp3 player?

The ipod is good but here are flaws of an ipod. What happens if something goes wrong with the touch scroller and you cannot scroll down and highlight the music u want 2 listen 2 than just using a mp3 player with a normal button that will not have technical problems as with the touch scroller. Same with the new ipod that now has a touch screen, what happens if u drop the ipod and the screen breaks and u cannot use the screen no more 2 choose the music u want. SanDisc mp3 player?

I have a SanDisc mp3 player Had it for about a yr now and love it.. but just reciently it deleated one of the CD's i had on it well i just went to reload the songs on it. it seemed to load fine. I go to play it they show up on the screen but wont play they just pause themself and then skip right over it.. why can I get it to work? Its weird it shows the songs there and when i plug it into the computer they are they and will play from the computer just not the mp3 player...

Try formatting the memory and reloading your songs. I have an M230 and had that happen once - also check their web site for firmware upgrades.

Copying mp3/mpeg cd to Itunes?

A lovely friend made me a spiffing CD - but tho I can play it in Itunes, I can't copy, and therefore sync it to my Ipod.

It seems to be something to do with the file type - it says they're MPEG Layer 3 Audio files. Is this not an MP3?

And if not - can I make it an MP3? or anything else that can copied on Itunes.........?

You'll need an FM transmitter. Which kind of transmitter would depend on the mp3 player you have. If you have an IPod than the Griffin would work fine.

Picking the right MP3 Player?

I want an mp3 player for christmas and my parents told me to find one. there are so many i can't choose or find the perfect one. I do know that i don't want an apple(apple i pod). I want a small mp3 player with an lcd screen.

if you could give me some good reviews for one that you may have bought or just suggest to me an mp3 that seems good it would really help me alot. Also, if possible, list a website wear i could find one.(this part isn't nessesary)

How does the motokrazr's MP3 work? How do you put music on the phone or memory card? What kind of memory card do you need? And do you need some kind of upgrade to get the MP3?

you can either transpor tit using a cable and program you need to buy from verizon. cost 30 bucks and comes with headphones. or you can buy a memory card. i got mine for 10 bucks after shipping from amazon and its a 1gb. that is alot of memoery. the krzr can support up to 2 gb memory cards. i find that the 1gb is plenty. on amaon if you order the memory card you get a free converter which is worth another 10. what you do then is put the memory card in this converter then plug it in your usb. a folder will pop up and then just drag your music files into that folder. then go to my music and it will add the songs to your library and you can begin listening!

My sis just got an mp3 player DVR and I'm trying to install it for her. I don't exactly know how. There was a little disc that came with it but I don't know where the heck to put it. I only know how to install ipods...mp3's aren't my area of expertise. Can someone help?

I received something that i did not order or was expecting in the mail with my name and address. The package was signed and received by my parents. It was an mp3 player from Hong Kong. The strange thing is that it came with no receipt or anything other that mp3 player. and my parents tell me that the mail man that drop off the package did not pick up any of the mail in the mail box nor any of the neighbors(not sure if thats normal). And on the receipt its entitled as a gift. Now i can help but be worried of the package which i already open and i wanted to know if i should worry? I have heard about identity theft being done through hook up of such electronics as flash drives and ipod mp3 players, that when hooked up to the computer, starts getting your information and sent to a remote email. Is there anything i can do to reassure my self of the package? has this happened to you or anyone yall know?

Probably not an issue; but it is kinda weird. Could it be a gift from an aunt or uncle that hasn't announced their intention yet?

Be wary of software that might be on the flash drive. Scan the drive with your antivirus software before you do anything. Your firewall should prevent anything from "phoning home" with sensitive information.

About the delivery: the delivery man cant pick up from the mailbox unless he is from the Post Office. The UPS guy is prohibited from using the mailbox for any reason.
Find somebody with a Mac or linux box to plug it in to if you don't feel safe about it. At least they could browse the device and/or format it for you.
Someone might have had it sent to you as a gift. I did that once. They said that it would take 7-14 days to get to the person and it got there in 3 days and everything got all screwed up because I didn't tell her yet that it was coming...
Plug it in and scan the crap out of it with your antivirus and antispyware programs. Do NOT install or run anything on the player on your computer! After you get clean scans, enjoy your gift.
It could be indeed a gift but I caution you to watch your credit card and bank statements and be alert for anything weird over seas thieves order stuff on line with stolen credit card numbers they give U.S. and Canadian postal address's why? their stolen stuff is dropped off stateside because Companies won't ship it to them over seas a third party will pick up their stuff (dropped at the door) and that guy then sends their stuff to wherever it's suppose to go in the World.

If you see lots of expensive stuff like ipods dvd players and even expensive tvs arriving that you never ordered or requested it's a sure bet it's the credit card thief's.
