My mp3 player has permanent marker crap on the screen and now it does not work anymore. What should

I colored my Mp3 player with Sharpie and used AXE to clean it off and now my mp3 player has crap on the screen and when I turn it on, it plays music for about a second and then records stuff automatically and does not turn off. I bought it off from Buy.com. What should I do?
