8GB MP3 player only holds 7.4GB, will they replace?

I recently bought a SanDisk Sansa e200 8GB MP3 player, but the MP3 player only has 7.4 GB total space available when completely formatted. This is alittle annoying since if anything, this is a 7GB player, and seeing as how i paid nearly 300 dollars, I would rather have the 0.6 GB as it could store alot of content.

Do you think SanDisk's warranty will cover this one being replaced?

It only has 7.4 GB because it is holding the software to run the player...My friend has a 2 GB iPod and has only 1.80 GB left...so its the software and firmware on it also...
