I just recently brought a samsung yp k5 2 gb mp3 player over the summer. My mother is having a fish fry during new years and I want a speaker for my mp3. I heard about a cord that connects your mp3 to the speaker..or something like that. Where should I buy it and either a website or a store.

You need either powered 'speakers, i.e. loudspeakers with their own built-in amplifier, or 'speakers plus a separate amplifier.
The MP3 player can't drive 'speakers itself.
